About the event
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is a mindfulness-based transdiagnostic therapy. CFT interventions have been used, researched, and proven to be effective in both group and individual therapy for people who have beliefs and sensory experiences such as hearing voices that are not shared by others. CFT can be used as a stand-alone treatment and the concepts, exercises, and interventions can also enhance therapists’ repertoires of strategies for exploration and change within other models such as cognitive behavioural therapy for psychosis. This workshop will include both didactic and experiential exercises to demonstrate the use of CFT with individuals experiencing psychosis.
