About the event
This experiential workshop focuses on developing clinical skills for working with clients experiencing distressing psychosis. Join us for an advanced CBT for psychosis workshop on applying CBTp for thought interference beliefs such as thought insertion and thought broadcasting. This recovery-focused workshop will focus on the cognitive model of thought interference and change strategies to reduce thought interference. Experiential approaches will emphasize clinical demonstrations, video demonstrations, and case examples.
PRESENTER
Dr. Michael Best is a Clinical Psychologist and an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Department of Psychological Clinical Science at the University of Toronto where he is Director of both the Therapeutic Interventions for Psychosis Lab and the Clinical Research and Evaluation Center. He completed his graduate training at Queen’s University and his residency at the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Centre in Philadelphia, PA.
