This course explores the initial phase of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) and effective engagement strategies. Participants will learn about the assessment process, goal setting, and addressing client disengagement in therapy sessions. The course includes a roleplay session to demonstrate the collaboration between patient and therapist in creating an optimal goal list. It highlights common challenges in goal setting within CBTp and provides strategies to overcome these obstacles to facilitate therapy progression. By the end of this course, participants will be equipped to conduct efficient assessments and goal-setting sessions with clients.
